Check in with Art, Culture + Tourism regarding other forms and permits you may have to complete. Once your event is reviewed you will be required to attend a City Service Meeting, a date and information will be sent to you via email or phone.
City Service Meetings are held bi-weekly on Tuesdays at 11AM, at 444 Westminster Street. All city departments affected by outdoor events are present. You will have a chance to discuss your event logistics and be able to ask questions. *You will find out your city service fees at this meeting. Following discussion of your event, you will receive a signed permit. *You will not be required to pay these fees at the meeting.
Notify businesses, residents, and churches that will be impacted. We recommend flyering the area with exact details and contact information. In order to receive a signed permit for your event, at your City Service Meeting you will be required to Present a Safety Plan - info in the application Have 20 copies of an event site map Pay a 50.00 fee - check or money order made out to Department of Art, Culture + Tourism Provide Proof of Liability Insurance Naming the City of Providence and its employees and/or agents. If using a Providence Park you MUST add the Providence Parks Department, as additional insured. 1-5000 people at an event requires proof of liability insurance in the amount of One Million Dollars 5001+people at an event requires proof of liability insurance in the amount of Five Million Dollars
ACTIONS THAT WILL JEOPARDIZE PERMITTING Failure to notify neighbors Failure to clean up after an event – can also result in a 500.00 littering ticket Failure to pay city service fees
