Warm up, stretching, and National Anthem
Waves will be called in the following order… Wave 1: My goal is to run the entire course
Wave 2: My goal is to run/walk the course Wave 3: My goal is to walk the course Wave 4: Walking with a stroller and/or walking groups
At the conclusion of the National Anthem our onsite liaison team will be located on the main concrete path ready to escort each wave individually to the start line. Please look for these volunteers, the wave signs they are carrying, and follow to the start only with the appropriate wave. If you are participating with a program participant please honor the goal she has set for herself and line up according to her goal. Girls and running buddies should line up in the correct wave, not collectively as a team. With nearly 4000 participants in our 5k, we ask for your full cooperation in this matter to avoid unnecessary injury, course congestion, or other risk.
