No flags or banners are permitted in the front yard, except for one United States Flag. However, on occasion, small seasonal and sports banners and flags are also permitted for specific sports events or holidays. Only one flag or banner can be flown at one time, in addition to the United States Flag, and needs to be placed within the footprint of the house.

Residents are required to have a number on their mail box in the front visible from the street. In addition the Town of Hilton Head ordinance states that all homes must have a house number in the front of the house for emergency vehicle purposes. The house number on the mail box does not comply with the town ordinance, nor are all of the mailboxes in the front of the proper house.

Statuary items will be permitted to include birdbaths, fountains, benches, etc. Residents are permitted 1 or 2 of these items in the front yard. However, it is the owners responsibility to insure that these items do not become overbearing in the front yard. All residents who wish to have statuary items must first apply to the ARB for approval.

No fencing is permitted; this includes wire mesh or netting.

Security signs provided by your security company are permitted. If a resident wishes a standardized Leamington Security sign they may purchase one for their yard. Either sign must not exceed 10 inches in diameter and must be placed as close to the front door as possible.

Invisible fence signs provided by your fence company are permitted. If a resident wishes a standardized Leamington Invisible Fence sign, they may purchase one for their yard. Either sign cannot exceed 10 inches in diameter and must be within landscape beds and located no closer than 20 feet from the road.
7.
Holiday decorations are permitted. Residents should use proper judgment when putting up and taking down holiday decorations.
It will be the ARB’s responsibility to take a reasonable approach in monitoring the above guidelines. The ARB reserves the right to require adherence to the above regulations that, in its sole judgment have not been followed. The ARB will accept formal written complaints, which shall be held in confidence, from any neighbor in Leamington regarding the front yard guidelines. The ARB will follow up on every formal written complaint to make a decision regarding its validity.
