Sub: G&SR- Chapter –IV – WORKING OF TRAINS GENERALLY

A copy of Amendment Slip No. 40 to the above mentioned chapter is reproduced below. This amendment should be brought into force with immediate effect by notification to all concerned. This has the approval of 'Authorized Officer'.

The Amendment Slip No. 40, December 2015 to the G&SR- 2008 edition, is given below: Substitute the contents of SR 4.29(2)(A) at page No. 155 with the followings. SR 4.29 (2) (A) The Station Master receiving advice of hot axle or any other part of under gear on a train, which is dangerous, will where possible, receive the train as under(a) For a train consisting of wagons fitted with CASNUB bogies, if detected with hot axle he shall bring it to stop outside the first stop signal and then admit it on the loop line very cautiously. (b) For a train running with UIC trolley and plain bearing stock he shall receive the train on the main line, if it is not possible to do so, he shall bring it to a stop outside the first stop signal and then admit it on the loop line very cautiously. Note – (1) Following stock have a UIC trolleya) BOMN b) BTALN c) BCX-III d) BRH (2) All goods trains other than indicated in para (1) above are running with CASNUB bogie.
