Snack Time !

Students may bring in a small afternoon snack. We ask that these snacks are single serving (no sharing), HEALTHY, and quick. When selecting snack choices, please keep in mind that these snacks may be eaten during recess time. We ask that no drinks are provided for snack time. Students may bring in a water bottle to fill and keep at their seat.

Encore Schedule: We have a 6 day Encore rotation. Here is our class’s encore schedule:

Day 3: Library (Don’t forget your books) Day 4: Spanish Day 5: Physical Education (tennis shoes!) Day 6: Music

Exciting News: Keister has expanded the morning walking program to now include Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Feel free to join your child for a walk around the track on either of these days. Walking times are 8:10-8:25 AM.

Welcome to 4th Grade

p Ms. Mlinarchik’s Class

I am very excited to welcome you to my fourth grade class. I am looking forward to getting to know you this school year.

E All about Miss M: This is my 3rd year teaching 4th grade at Keister and my 6th year teaching. I graduated from Broadway High School and EMU. I love track and field and am the pole vault coach at Harrisonburg High School. I like to read, watch TV, play golf, help out with the youth group at my church and hang out with my 4-year-old niece, Evva! I am looking forward to a great school year!

Home and School Communication Student Planner Each child will receive a student planner provided by the school. Planners will be used daily by the students to write down homework assignments and school and classroom reminders.

4th Grade Student Responsibilities: ‣ Fill out planner each day ‣ Show planner to parent and get parent signature ‣ Complete assignments, if any ‣ Bring planner to school each day

Parent/Guardian Responsibilities: ‣ Check planner each day ‣ Sign planner when homework is complete ‣ Write comments/questions to Ms. Mlinarchik or another teacher if needed

Parents:

The planner is the perfect place to communicate with Ms. Mlinarchik. Look for notes and feel free to write a note to me. I will check planners each day.

Blue Communication Folder Each child will receive a blue communication folder provided by the school. Students will use this folder as a homework folder. This folder will go home with your child each day and should return to school each morning. Please check this folder daily for homework, announcements from school, classroom newsletters and other communication from Ms. Mlinarchik.

In our classroom we encourage students to make positive choices at school. When students’ choices are not helpful to our classroom environment, we ask them to reflect on the choice they made. Students will check in with themselves daily to see if they met our classroom expectations for that day. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Ms. Mlinarchik or another 4th grade teacher.

Hora de la !Merienda

Los estudiantes pueden traer en una pequeña merienda. Pedimos que estos bocadillos sean de porción individual (no se comparte), SALUDABLE y rápida. Al seleccionar opciones de bocadillos, por favor, tenga en cuenta que estos bocadillos se pueden comer durante la hora del recreo. Le pedimos que no envíen bebidas. Los estudiantes pueden traer una botella de agua para llenar y mantener a su asiento.

Noticias Emocionantes: Keister ha ampliado el programa de caminar por la mañana para incluir ahora los lunes y miércoles y viernes. Siéntase libre de caminar con su hi jo(a) a la escuela y dar un paseo alrededor de la pista en cualquiera de estos días. Horas de caminar son de 8:10-8:30 de la mañana.

Estoy muy contenta de darte la bienvenida a mi clase de cuarto grado. Tengo muchas ganas de conocerte este año escolar.

Todo sobre la Srta. M: Este es mi segundo año de enseñar en 4to grado en Keister y mi quinto año de enseñar. Me gradué de Broadway High School y la UEM. Me encanta el atletismo y soy el entrenador de polo bóveda de la Escuela Secundaria. ¡Me gusta leer, ver la televisión, jugar al golf, ayudar con el grupo de jóvenes de mi iglesia, y estar con mi sobrina de 3 años de edad, Evva! ¡Espero tener un gran año escolar!

Comunicación entre la Escuela y el Hogar Planificador Estudiantil Cada niño recibirá un planificador de alumnos proporcionado por la escuela. Planificadores serán utilizados diariamente por los estudiantes para escribir las tareas y recordatorios del aula y la escuela.

Responsabilidades del Estudiante en 4° Grado: ‣ Escribir sus asignaciones en su planificador cada día. ‣ Mostrar el planificador a los padres y obtener la firma del padre. ‣ Completar las tareas asignadas. ‣ Traer su planificador a la escuela cada día.

Responsabilidades de los padres de familia: ‣ Compruebe el planificador cada día. ‣ Firmar el planificador cuando la tarea se ha completado. ‣ Escribir comentario / pregunta a la Srta. Mlinarchik u otro maestro si es necesario.

El planificador es el lugar perfecto para comunicarse con la Srta. Mlinarchik. Busque las notas y no dude en escribir una nota para mí. Voy a comprobar los planificadores cada día.

Carpeta Azul de Comunicación

Cada niño recibirá una carpeta azul de comunicación proporcionado por la escuela. Los estudiantes usarán esta carpeta como una carpeta de tareas. Esta carpeta se irá a casa con su hi jo/a todos los días y debe regresarse a la escuela cada mañana. Por favor, revise esta carpeta todos los días para informarse sobre las tareas asignadas, anuncios de la escuela, boletines de la clase y otro tipo de comunicación de la Sra. Mlinarchik.
