Basketball Information 2014-2015 Grades and Behavior Expectations

Rising 7 and 8 graders must have passed 5 out of 6 classes in the second semester of last school year. Students must be passing all 6 classes currently in school. If grades drop below passing after the teams are picked the student athlete will not participate in any team activity until the grade is brought back up to passing. Behavior problems will be looked at on a case by case basis leading up to tryouts. Once on the team behavior situations will result in suspension from team activities and or dismissal from the team.
Physicals
Physicals need to be turned into Connie Clark in the front office by Wednesday 10/1/14. If you will not have your physical completed by a doctor by that date please come and talk to a coach or Connie Clark. The insurance and concussion form must be completed. Please contact the front office if you will have to purchase the school insurance policy.
Conditioning
We will have three days of voluntary conditioning on 10/1, 10/2 and 10/3 in the upper gym. You must have your physical turned in to participate and must have a ride to pick you up in the bus lanes at 5:30. Any student not picked up on time will not be allowed back for conditioning the rest of the week.
Try-Out Dates
Boys – 10/8, 10/10, and 10/15 if necessary Girls – 10/7, 10/9, and 10/14 if necessary Cuts will be made after each day of tryouts. Must attend all try-out dates. Will not be allowed to try-out if you miss the first day unless it is due to an injury or illness. Teams will be posted on the Creekland basketball website on eClass after 8:00 pm following the last day of tryouts.
Practice
Boys practice times will be on Monday and Tuesday after school from 4:30 – 6:00 and Wednesday – Friday before school from 7:00 – 8:30. (Times and days could change) Girls practice times will be after school every day from 4:30 – 6:00. (Times and days could change)
Team Dues
$50 uniform fee Team package will run around $300 this season. This will include team shoes, warm up, shooting shirts and a bag or team shirt.
