Known as the gateway to the Tushar Mountains, Beaver is a tranquil agricultural community with abundant outdoor activities. Beaver is home to an estimated 2,511 residents and is located 200 miles south of Salt Lake City, along Interstate 15. Color Country, encompassing Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, Minersville Reservoir State Recreation Area, and Eagle Point Ski Area are within a short drive.
“We need more country doctors, but learning to practice medicine in a rural setting can be difficult,” said David A. Symond, M.D., longtime Milford family practitioner. Dr. Symond and his wife, Phyllis, have funded this program in their name with hopes to, “increase training for rural health care.”
