Cedar City, Utah Founded in 1851, Cedar City is now known as “Festival City USA” due to the large number of events hosted in this community of 30,000 residents. These festivals include the Tony-award winning Utah Shakespeare Festival, the Utah Summer Games, and various community celebrations. Cedar City is within close driving distance of Cedar Breaks National Monument, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park and Brian Head Ski Area.
