Geoff, I will start off with the Goldstein correspondence, then the solutions and finish with the ACR columns for 1939-1941 which is the missing book, and finally the columns after 1949. You can see with Jim Jones’ solutions how much work the dear fellow did. Goldstein’s solutions finish well before the end of the problems as I was still gathering at that time. His final list of 50 will be of interest to you. As for the columns post 1949 I appear to be missing December 1950 in Chess World as the problem numbers are out of sequence (Nov 50 last No 516-January 51 first No.527) But the pagination seems OK in December. Maybe Hawes just mixed up the numbers. Dear Frank Ravenscroft who gave me his Chess Worlds used to pin solutions inside and many of them are still there. I will attempt to scan them in lieu of the page opposite the problem page as they are of more interest. He wasted very little paper and wrote his solutions on the back of company letters or any stray paper he had around. I know another column is definitely missing and will record it later. They may have a full collection in the National Library. If so I would appreciate photocopies of the missing few pages. I have also included various problem articles that may be of interest.
