School Bus Driver
Reports To:
Director of Administrative Services
Performance Responsibilities: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12.
Performs daily bus inspection as prescribed. Transports students to and from school and/or other school related activities, following a preplanned route according to a definite time schedule. Operates the bus safely and in compliance with prescribed rules and traffic regulations. Instructs passengers in safety precautions and practices to follow when loading, unloading, riding the bus and participating in emergency evacuations from the bus. Maintains discipline and reports disruptive students to the school principal or designee. Reports delays, accidents, and other unusual events to the transportation coordinator. Facilitates the bus being presented at the appropriate location for required periodic inspections. Maintains the interior of the bus at all times. Maintains records and submits reports as required. Keeps first aid kit on bus. Maintains fire extinguisher on bus. Performs other such duties as required and/or assigned by the Director of Auxiliary Services.
