Race through historic Kansas City, MO at the Buck O'Neil Walk/Run, presented by the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (NLBM) in partnership with Patriot's Run Club. Support a great cause while traveling the same streets in the heart of the city where legendary musicians, social pioneers and star athletes roamed. Choose to participate in a 5K Run or a 2.2 mile (or 3K) walk, through the 18th & Vine historic district. The "2.2" mile distance honors the uniform number and memory of John "Buck" O'Neil (1911-2006), Negro Leagues baseball legend and former chairman of the museum.

REGISTRATION FEES:

5K RUN: $22.00 $30.00 after 09/12/16

The course route will pass historic and scenic landmarks such as Parade Park, 12th Street & Vine marker, Blues Stadium site, and the Paseo YMCA. The rolling urban terrain makes this race among the most challenging workouts in Kansas City.

2.2 Mile Walk: $15.00 $22.00 after 09/12/16 Group discounts available online

All participants receive a commemorative race shirt. 5K runners compete for best time medals in different age categories. The very best times for 5K runners (male & female) receive a special award as 2015 race champions.

I am in condition to participate in this event and I assume all risks including, but not limited to, the hazards of slips and falls, motor vehicles, adverse weather, bad footing, dehydration, bad road conditions, debris on the path and all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I also agree to obey all markings on the course and directions of the volunteers, exercise all safety precautions, avoid littering and respect property of others. Knowing these facts, and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators or anyone else on my behalf, covenant not to sue, and release the Race Committee, all organizers, all cities and police departments with jurisdiction over the event, event volunteers, all beneficiaries, all sponsors including their agents, employees, assigns or anyone acting for or on my behalf of the above, from any and all liability for death, personal injury, property damage or loss of any kind or nature arising out of my participation in this event.
