Dear   7th   Grade   Junior   High   Parents,    We   have   had   great   success   with   the   rollout   of   the   7th   grade   Chromebook   devices!    Our   students  are   learning   in   new   and   exciting   ways.    We   would   like   to   encourage   you   to   continue   to   care   for  the   computers   in   a  responsible   manner   and   to   revisit   the   “Best   Practices   for   Chromebook   Care”  list   from   the   1:1   Parent   Letter.     There   have   been   minimal   breakage   issues,   including   two   broken   screens,   and   two   severed  cords.    For   your   information,   we   have   worked   out   a  list   of   most   common   repairs   to  Chromebooks   and   the   cost   of   those   repairs.    Repair   Costs     ● Replace   Entire   Chromebook $200   ● Screen   Only $26  ● Screen   and   Bezel  $90  ● Replace   Keyboard   or   Touchpad $50   ● Individual   Keys $6  ● Replace   power   cable/charger $30    Looking   forward,   we   will   assess   charges   for   repairs   on   an  a   s   needed , c   ase­by­case   basis.  While   we   understand   that   accidents   happen,   our   goal   is   to   minimize   repairs   due   to  m   isuse .
