Education Specification (EdSpec) Educational Specifications define to planners, architects, and other professionals the design and program requirements of any new or remodeled school. They are a guide book and benchmarking tool used by school districts to clarify goals for all school construction projects.

Feasibility Study Goal: To develop a recommendation for the best path forward to maximize the potential of the CHM site within the size constraints The process for conducting a Feasibility Study is typically broken down into two major phases: 1. Existing Conditions Assessments 2. Test-fitting Solutions, Evaluation, & Recommendations

Considering Swing Spaces Considered to ensure the safety of staff and students and to minimize the impact construction activities may have on the school day ● Swinging On-Site ○ School utilizes a portion of the existing school building ○ Oftentimes supplemented by trailers or unoccupied portion of the school. ● Swinging Off-Site ○ May be required due to space constraints and limitations on the school property. ○ Consider factors such as distance, school size, number of staff and students, and timing with modernizations taking place at other school sites.
