Peace Corps Is Indispensable to Overseas Development
At an increasing rate, America's development efforts call on Peace Corps to implement projects. Fluent in languages, adapted to cultures, and trusted by local communities, Volunteers go where and do what no other agency can. Volunteers combat HIV/AIDS through PEPFAR projects in 25 countries, implement food security projects in 38 countries through Feed the Future and USAID, and approximately 70 Response volunteers train nurses and physicians.
