Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) is a nonprofit organization at the center of a vibrant and united community who share the Peace Corps experience. NPCA champions a lifelong commitment to Peace Corps ideals by connecting, engaging and promoting its members and affiliate groups as they continue to make a difference in communities in the U.S. and around the world. NPCA is also dedicated to advocating for, contributing to, and supporting the betterment of the Peace Corps.

NPCA advocates for and contributes to the continued improvement and expansion of the Peace Corps.
NPCA connects, engages, and builds the capacity of members and groups to live by their Peace Corps ideals, individually and collectively.
Increase Peace Corps appropriations
OBJECTIVE 2.1:

STRATEGY: Seek sustained increase in Peace
Corps federal appropriations through citizen advocacy. Strengthen policy, programs, and entitlements related to Peace Corps
Increase engagement of individual community members STRATEGY: Champion community members’
common affinity and lifelong commitment to Peace Corps ideals.
OBJECTIVE 1.2:
STRATEGY: Advocate for legislation and policies
that help improve current and returned Volunteers’ experiences and ensure equity with other branches of national service. OBJECTIVE 1.3:
Heighten Peace Corps visibility and relevancy STRATEGY: Promote the Peace Corps cachet
(brand, values, achievements, and dividends) within our community and to the general public.
Increase access to capacity-building resources and opportunities OBJECTIVE 2.2:
STRATEGY: Help returned Volunteers overcome
challenges and take the next step toward graduate school, professional careers, and entrepreneurism.
Goal 3: Amplify our Peace Corps community’s development impact NPCA builds the capabilities, capital, and community that members need to increase their development impact. Increase community engagement in global development initiatives OBJECTIVE 3.1:
