Mission: The mission of Clearview Elementary School is to teach and empower one another, without exception. We will set clear expectations and create an environment where we will work together to be purposeful in striving for excellence in all we do, to meet the needs of those we serve, everyday!
Vision: The Vision of Clearview Elementary School is to empower every student to excel and be a responsible citizen, continuously growing socially, emotionally, and academically, reaching their full potential in a safe learning environment.

School Improvement Plan Goals 1.
By June 2017, all K-5 classroom teachers providing reading instruction will implement Balanced Literacy (Read Aloud, Shared Reading, Guided Reading & Independent Practice

By June 2017, all teachers will be incorporating Thinking Maps within each unit of instruction
3.
By June 2017, all classroom teachers in grade K, 1, and 2 will provide at minimum, 50 minutes of phonics instruction weekly.
4.
By June 2017, all K-5 classroom teachers will administer a behavior screening in order to identify students who are at risk for internalizing and externalizing behaviors. Additionally, we will implement programs and rituals that will intentionally target the social/ emotional needs of students.

By March 1, 2017, the Administration will have provided to 100% of teachers professional learning opportunities and coaching; differentiated professional learning sessions to meet teachers’ learning styles and growth needs; and supported struggling teachers through targeted coaching sessions on practice and on student learning data.

Clearview Elementary School Intentionally Pursuing Excellence! CPAA Math & Literacy Attainment English & Spanish Six times during the school year students in kindergarten and first grade participate in the CPAA assessment to measure their literacy and math skills. Students that are receiving instruction in Spanish are assessed in Spanish. Assessment results highlight which concepts or skills students likely have mastered or are ready to learn and provide details to teachers for lesson planning. You may receive a copy of such a report during conferences or at another time during the year. At Clearview, students in kindergarten and first grade participated in the CPAA assessments in September. Individual student results will be presented at your child’s upcoming conference. Our goal is to see 80% of our students meet or exceed end grade level expectations by the end of the year.

Benchmark assessment results highlight which concepts or skills students have mastered or are ready to learn and provide details to teachers for lesson planning. You may receive a copy of such a report during conferences or at another time during the year. At Clearview, all students in grades 2-5 participated in the Beginning of Year NWEA MAP Reading and Math assessments in September. Individual student results will be presented at your child’s upcoming conference. Our goal is to see 80% of our students meet their growth target.

IL State Assessment - PARCC Students across Illinois participate in the state PARCC assessments in Reading and Math in the spring of the year to measure student achievement. At Clearview, students in grades 3-5 participated. Individual student results will be presented at your child’s upcoming conference. Our goal for the 2016-2017 School Year is to have __% of students in grades 3-5 to meet or exceed standards. We will connect Reading and Writing, increase instruction in Vocabulary Development, continue to implement CCSS, and increase interventions for Bilingual and Special Education students.
