CMI Campus Wide Wireless Connection Configuring Your Computer CMI Hotspot supports the following OS’s:
Mac OS X Windows 2000 and XP Windows Vista and 7/Linux and Android
This portion of the manual will provide you with information regarding the connection of your Macintosh system to the wireless network. If you need assistance, you may contact IT Department at ext 263. Please read the step-by-step directions thoroughly before calling. You will save yourself a lot of time.
Macintosh Network Configuration Procedure Verifying Your IP Address
Please be sure that you have your wireless Airport switch on/off button is on Go to the Apple Menu and select System Preferences. From the System Preferences window, select Network.
In the Network window, select Airport wireless connection.

Open up any form of Internet browser (FireFox, Safari, etc.).
You should be redirected to the CMI Portal Login Page.
Logging in with your CMI assigned username and password will properly authenticate your computer, and you will be able to access the Internet.
Windows 2000 and XP Network Configuration Procedure Verify your wireless connection
Please be sure that you have your wireless switch on/off button is on and connected To set your DHCP properties, go to the Start Menu and select Control Panel. Making sure that the Control Panel is displaying Classic View, select Wireless Network Connections.
On the right bottom near the computer clock, click the wireless icon and look for “CMI-HOTSPOT” as shown in the picture below:
