Just Java is a business that uses coffee as a tool to help schools, organizations, and individuals. Every bag of coffee helps someone. We believe in “Giving Back”. Profits collected by the students will be donated to their selected charities. From business revenue received by Just Java, three scholarships based upon 7% of these total donations will be provided.

Students aiming for acceptance to top universities know the prestige that a community service program contributes to their applications. Conceiving, developing, and implementing a significant program is time consuming for students already committing many hours to academics, sports, family, and other endeavors. Just Java Coffee has pre-designed a program that has the potential to meet top university requirements. Innovation, dedication, commitment and a strong desire to “make a difference” are still necessary to an applicant’s success.

All students will receive a scholarship based upon individual performance. For each bag of coffee sold by the student, $3.50 will be donated to the student’s charity and $1.00 will be awarded to the student for financial assistance to attend the college of their choice. Each student is also eligible for the Just Java Scholarship Program based upon total donations.

Just Java Coffee Fundraisers is offering 50 students in the state of Colorado an opportunity to be part of Coffee for a Cause.

Coffee for a Cause is a way for students to: Earn community service hours for college application/scholarships Earn a college scholarship based on individual sales Have the opportunity to win one of three college scholarships from Just Java* Earn “Real Money” for the charity of their choice “Give Back” to the community and/or others less fortunate *Based upon aggregate sales volume

Requirements: Must be junior or senior High Scholastic Achievement as determined by school counselor Valid Colorado driver’s license Parental Consent

Coffee for a Cause Only one student from each of 50 schools across the state of Colorado is selected for this opportunity. Counselors, principals or a selection committee in each school will determine the school’s recipient. The first 50 students are accepted. Students partner with

Just Java Fundraisers to develop a community service project in which they sell Just Java coffee. Students select a charity of their choice (preferably a 501c3) and donate all funds and an additional 30 hours per year to that charity.** Contact with the charity is the responsibility of the student. Each student designs and implements his/her own unique marketing program. Just Java will pay for students to use Constant Contact, an email service that is a useful marketing tool. Students will receive free training on Constant Contact to design this aspect of their marketing and communication program. **Students must complete 30 hours of community service to be eligible for scholarship funds.

Training will also include prospect list development, additional communication and marketing ideas, efficient delivery options, setting goals, unique ways to thank supporters, and time optimization. Other marketing avenues are also available and will likely increase sales. In addition, students will need to set up a checking account in which to deposit proceeds from coffee sales. From this account, donation payments will be made to their charity as well as payments to Just Java. Monthly donations will be mailed or delivered to the charity. Students will be required to authenticate the donation by delivering to Just Java a copy of a receipt from the charity. Parents and students will sign a

contract stating that they will meet the program guidelines. There are no sales goal requirements. School involvement is neither required nor discouraged.

Just Java Coffee offers eight gourmet coffees Premium coffees are priced at $12.00 per pound. Flavored coffees are $13.00 per pound. The charity will receive $3.50 for each bag of coffee that is ordered. The student receives $1.00 toward his/her individual scholarship award. Students may also generate money for their charity through our website at www.justjava.org. Pricing structure and charitable donations differ with the on-line sales. Each student will turn in his or her order on a specific day of the month. Just Java will deliver the finished coffee to the student’s home and the student is required to deliver it in a timely manner.
