1. Attached is the letter dated August 9, 2017, of HON. JOSE CHRISTOPHER Y. BELMONTE, Representive, District 6, Quezon City, re: Commemoration Activities for the Death Anniversary of Secretary Jesse M. Robredo, content of which is self-explanatory, for appropriate action. 2. Please take note of the attached proposed schedules for each school for the story telling session and exhibit. 3. The on-the-spot poster making contest will be on August 18, 2017 in your respective school. Entries will be displayed in a room and the judges will go to the different schools on same day from 1-5 P.M for the judging of winners. 4. Participation of public schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy stipulated in DepEd Order No.9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on- Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith. 5. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.

We are pleased to inform you that the 6th District of Quezon City, in partnership with the Jesse M. Robredo Foundation Inc. (JMRF) will be commemorating Secretary Jesse's death anniversary this August 2017. In line with this we would like to seek partnership with all elementary schools in the district in implementing the Lakbay-Kwento: Ang Kwento ni Sec. Jesse Robredo. The Lakbay Kwento: Ang Kwento ni Sec. Jesse Robredo will be composed of the following Activities: a) Poster Making Contest, b) Storytelling Session to Grade 3 students to impart the story of Secretary Jesse Robredo and Exhibit. The commemoration aims to perpetuate the life and leadership of the late former Naga City Mayor and DILG Secretary. It envisions a world wherein good governance is practiced, exemplifying principles of accountability, transparency and people empowerment. Attached herewith are the guidelines and mechanics for your reference. 1) Poster Making Contest 2) Storytelling Session 3) Exhibit We look forward to your positive response.

POSTER MAKING CONTEST MECHANICS '

. 1. The contest is open to all grade 3 sections of the school.

2. Each section shall have only two (2) contestants submitting one (1) entry each. 3. The poster should focus on "Ano ang Bayani?" taking inspiration from the life of Jesse Robredo and what he stands fo r 4. The following materials will be used in the contest: a. A 1,4 illustration board (white background & vertical format) (to be provided by the contestant) b. Coloring materials: oil pastel/ craypas, markers, ink, mixed media, oil, acrylic and watercolor (to be provided by the contestant) 5. The posters will be judged according to the following criteria: creativity and presentation (30%) originality (30%) relevance to the theme (40% ). 6. The poster making contest will be conducted on August 18, 2017. 7. All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation. 8. The winners will receive a medal, certificate and token.

Note: We will be conducting a story-telling session "Lakbay-Kwento: Ang Kwento ni Sec. jesse Robredo, to the section with the winning entry, followed by the turn-over of a copy of the book, "Nay, Ano Ang Bayani? Ang Kwento ni Jesse Robredo." Also, we will set-up a whole-day exhibit showcasing the life and leadership of the late former Naga City Mayor and DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo.

Mechanics for the Lakbay-Kwento: Ang Kwento ni Sec. Jesse Robredo Exhibit Objective: the purpose of the activity is to showcase the life and leadership of the late former Naga City Mayor and DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo. 1) The exhibit will display the life and accomplishments of Sec Jesse Robredo. 2) Below is the proposed schedule of exhibit: • • • • • • • • • • • •

3) Panel boards will be used for the exhibit 4) The event organizers will set-up the exhibit 1 day before the scheduled viewing in the different schools. 5) The exhibit will be open for viewing from 8:00am-5:00pm only. 6) 2 staff will assist and entertain questions of those who will visit the exhibit.
