Hello guys, First, I have booked the DB Clarke Theatre for our show so we don't have to get packed in a classroom. It has a huge stage that can hold all of us + audience easily. We'll decide on the specific configuration soon. I thought today about a form of our collaborative piece. My plan looked something like this (it's just a structural example, certainly we don't need to follow it strictly. But at least we'd have somewhere to start.) 1. opening tutti - two orchestras with intensity. Quieting down to a halt 2. Andrew plays solo for a minute 3. The Cybernetics enter to accompany Andrew (metric rhythm?) 4. CLOrk comes in later with a buildup of drones 5. intensity grows for the orchestras and Andrew - both dynamic intensity and rhythmic intensity 6. the two orchestras seize subito at the peak, except for a single soloist from CLOrk (James Finnerty) 7. a little interaction between Andrew and James with gesutral material. 8. A soloist from Cybernetics comes in and interacts with James, while Andrew takes a break. 9. Andrew comes in and the joins into a trio 10. The two orchestras join in gradually one player at a time (perhaps alternating one from each orchestras), the solo parts gradually disappear into the orchestra 11. Once the two orchestras are fully in (CLOrk droney, Cybernetics rhythmic), then everybody stops 11. After three seconds of silence, Andrew responds with a strong / loud gesture - and CLOrk answers and stops. Andrew again, then Cybernetics responds. An antiphonal section can take place for a little while, while eventually its both orchestras responding to Andrew 12. This build up to a continuous tutti with Andrew very intensely and a buildup towards the end (ending strongly) OK, so this is a kind of a template, because we need something to build upon for the concert that is very soon! Let me know what you think. In addition to this piece we will play one CLOrk new networked piece (not ready yet) titled OBE. What do you want to perform David? Cheers Eldad
