Parent Training Survey Results We sent out a parent survey asking what topics you would like to have training on to support you in your Home Schooling Educational Journey. Our top response was identifying your child's learning style. Your PLT will be able to share with you at your next learning record meeting in November two video trainings on the topic - the first will address how to identify learning styles, and the second will give you some ideas of curriculum and activities that work well with the various learning styles!

South Lake Tahoe Area News We have had a busy month. Our families have been busy attending classes at all our wonderful vendors and still found time to attend field trips. The hiking group finished up the season with a wonderful hike through the fall colors. A big THANK YOU to Kasey for organizing all the hikes this year. We took a field trip to Virginia City and rode the V&T Railroad and learned all about the history of Virginia City and the silver mines that created the town. Our families enjoyed a Family Fun Night with bowling at Tahoe Bowl. It was very popular and enjoyed by all. We ended this month with a field trip to Corley Ranch in Gardnerville. The students learned about growing pumpkins and squash, met some farm animals, went through a corn maze and watched a pig race. They ended the trip by picking out a pumpkin to bring home.

This month a couple of CORE students in Folsom studied texture and emotion through art. Here students have used their own creativity to recreate the styles of Jackson Pollock and Vincent Van Gogh.

It was a beautiful fall morning for our first PE class! Several students took up the game of badminton after some fun warm ups and stretching.
