Definitions of Each Core Value 1. Academic Excellence Our school community values the pursuit of academic excellence for all. Passionate, knowledgeable, skillful teachers will emphasize high expectations for all students and support them to reach their full potential. Successful demonstration of high academic achievement may include effective communication, creativity, ingenuity, independent learning, production of quality work, dedication to success, the ability to solve problems and collaborate. 2. Lifelong Learner Our school community values the dedication to encouraging students to become lifelong learners who think critically and are academic risk takers with a willingness to learn and the motivation to persevere. We are committed to fostering an atmosphere of intellectual curiosity, innovative instruction, and personal growth. Lifelong learning may be demonstrated through self-motivation, positive engagement and willingness to learn, creativity, goal setting, and a desire to ask questions and seek answers. 3. Integrity Our school community expects all members to demonstrate academic, professional, and personal integrity.
