Rossman Farms is a diversified business that includes crops and livestock. Corn, soybeans and canning crops make up the crop rotation. The livestock entity includes a swine nursery and cow herd. Calves from the commercial herd are backgrounded, sent to a feedlot and marketed as fed cattle. The elite nucleus herd is focused on producing bulls that are marketed to commercial herds looking for genetics to improve feed efficiency and increase profitability.
