Create a MyScouting Account on Scouting.org

1. Go to www.scouting.org and click the Start Here link.

2. Click the Create an account button

3. After reviewing the Restrictions information box, type the user name you want to use into the field and click the Check User Name Availability button

4. If the name is available, click the Next button

5. If the name is not available, you may either type a new name into the Enter a User Name field and click the Check User Name Availability button again, OR 6. Check the Accept Suggested User Name box to accept the suggestion, then click the Next button

7. If you are a Registered Adult Leader, click the I know my member ID radio button, then click the Next button. If you are not a Registered Adult Leader, please proceed to step 11.

8. Select Simon Kenton Council – Columbus, OH - #441 from the Council Name dropdown field. 9. Type your member ID into the Member ID field 10. Click the Next button.

11. Click the I am new and don’t know my member ID, or I am not a member radio button, then click the Next button. 12. Complete all required profile fields (as indicated by red asterisks). 13. Check the I accept these Terms & Conditions box. 14. Type the letters from the Verification Image into the Verify field (this field is case-sensitive, so type the lower case or capital letters as they appear). 15. Click the Create User button.

16. Select two security questions and type the answers to them in the appropriate fields.

17. Check the email account you provided in your profile. (NOTE: Your email program may detect this as Spam, so if you don’t see the message, check your Spam folder, and mark it Not Spam. 18. Click the link in the email to confirm your account.

19. After confirming your account, a Password Create screen will appear. Type and re-type your password (review the Password Restrictions) and click the Create Password button.

20. A dialog box should appear letting you know that your password has been created and inviting you to go to the MyScouting Sign-In page. To do so, click the OK button.

1. Go to https://myscouting.scouting.org. 2. Type your User Name and Password into the appropriate fields.

1. After signing into MyScouting, click the E-Learning link under the Training section of the Navigation menu at the left of the page.

2. Under the E-Learning tab, scroll down to the course you wish to take and click the corresponding Take Course link. 3. When you have completed the course, print a certificate of completion. NOTE: If you are going to be an Adult Walker at District Day Camp, you must have completed the Youth Protection training and bring your certificate of completion with you to camp.
