The Girls Only! and Boys Only! programs aim to build the resilience of vulnerable San Diego youth through the provision of mentoring, peer support and coping skills within a safe and trusted environment. Open discussions on real life threats and personal challenges, peer-to-peer exchanges, and social emotional learning contribute to the participants’ empowerment and ability to make positive life choices. Girls Only! aims to prevent girls ages 8-15 from getting involved with drugs, gangs, the criminal justice system, with a specific emphasis on CSEC/sex trafficking by building their self-esteem and resilience and encouraging them to achieve their goals. The Boys Only! toolkit emphasizes respect, integrity, self-worth, and gender equality as well as addressing social attitudes that can lead boys into becoming victims or abusers. Both programs are designed to be implemented in any after-school settings. For registration information, please contact Amanda Holt at 858-292-3666 or
