ICES was created to understand and advance the new discipline of computational science and engineering, and is uniquely organized to foster an environment of diverse, interdisciplinary research by facilitating collaboration across traditional departmental barriers.
Bringing together multiple disciplines Students incorporate latest developments of applied sciences into computational modeling and design in: • Biomedical applications, including cardiovascular simulation and biomolecular modeling • Climate modeling and prediction • Energy and subsurface interactions • Smart materials modeling and design • Statistical transport modeling and simulations
