Abstract Jaggery is a traditional Indian Sweetener whose basis is sugarcane. About 24.5\% cane produced in India is utilized for Jaggery production at present. India meets about 70% of the world requirements of Jaggery. To meet the future sweetener requirement, jaggery could be seen as a promising source. Thus, technical enhancement in its production process would prove a boon. RTD curves are generated through modeling of 3D-crystallizer in Ansys Fluent 14.5 for different parameters and are assessed for compartment modeling. Using the RTD data for the Screw Conveyor Crystallizer, a model is proposed that predicts the Particle size distribution for the crystallized jaggery. Gasification is a process that converts organic or fossil fuel based carbonaceous materials into carbon monoxide, hydrogen and carbon dioxide. Gasifier can be used in any application where LPG, Diesel or any other Petro-fuel is used. To optimize the combustion value at the outlet and prevent back mixing we need to understand the parameters that affect the Gasifier through modelling. The geometry and mesh of Gasifier is generated using Ansys Fluent 14.5. 3D model of Gasifier is simulated for various parameters and RTD curves are assessed for compartment modeling.
