the unıt cırcle! Paper plate activity... step 1: Cut the circle out of your paper plate. step 2: Fold into 4 equal parts ­ what's your diameter? What is  your radius? Mark that on the inside of your paper plate step 3: Mark a starting point on your poster paper, put zero  degrees on the starting point and roll one full circle with your plate  and mark the end point on your paper (how many degrees is this?) step 4: fold your circle back into fourths, starting at your start point  measure how many lengths of your radius it takes you to get to the  end

Remember... circumference of a circle... C = 2πr    

So... 360 degrees = ____ radians

So... 180 degrees = ____ radians

Since r = 1 and there are 3600 in a circle, then there are _____ radians in a full circle 1

Let's build the Unit Circle! Using what you just discovered... let's split the top half of our  paper plate unit circle in half.  How many degrees is this?
