LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON LOCAL GOVERNMENT PENSION SCHEME (LGPS) REGULATIONS 2007 DEATH GRANT – NOMINATION OF BENEFICIARY/IES On the death of a member of the LGPS the above Regulations give the Authority absolute discretion as to whom and in what proportions any Death Grant due (three years pensionable pay on death in service / any residual death grant following death in retirement) is to be made. The wishes expressed in this nomination form will be considered although the Authority is not in any way bound by them. If within two years of the death of a member, payment is not made under the Authority’s absolute discretion then payment of the Death Grant will be made to the estate of the deceased and may be subject to inheritance tax.
