Federationvide its letter dated 0l/0512017broughtto the notice of Railway Board, the caseof denial of free diet to the erstwhile Group 'D' employeesand their family members admittedto Railway Hospitals for medical treatmentas indoor patients. A period of more than three months has passed,neither action appearsto have been taken to resolve the grievancenor thereis any responseto Federation'scommunication. While enclosingcopy of Federation's letterdated0l/0512017, NFIR onceagainrequests . the Railway Board to take immediatecorrectiveaction to avoid hardshipsbeing faced by the staff (erstwhileGroup oD' & Group 'C' categories)and pending decision,allow all erstwhile Group 'D' employees(andtheir family members)the facility of free diet when they are admitted in RailwayHospitalsas inpatientsfor medicaltreatment. Action taken in the matter may kindly be conveyedto the Federationsoon. DA/Asabove
