Designation of Municipal Treasurers and Municipal District Treasurers as Revenue Collection Officers in their respective Municipalities or Municipal Districts whern Internal Revenue Collections are negligible.

Pursuant to the provisions of section 79 (B) of the Revised Administrative Code and Department Order '?o. 31-63, dated February 6, 1963, the Municipal Treasurers and the Municipal District Treasurers, as the case may be, in the municipalities and municipal districts enumerated hereunder are hereby designated, without extra compensation, Collection Officers of the Bureau of Internal Revenue to perform the duties and functions of Collection Agents in the collection of internal revenue taxes in their respective jurisdictions. This arrangement is being made in order to effect the assignment of Collection Agents in places where their services are most needed, and to attain economy in not providing positions of Collection Agents in the municipalities and/or municipal districts vdtere the average monthly collections of internal revenue taxes are negligible. .

It is hereby directed that upon receipt hereof, the Commissioner of Internal Revenue should take immediate steps to effect the transfer of the cash, official receipts, and other accountable forms and properties of the Collection Agents in the municipalities and municipal districts affected to the respective municipal or municipal district treasurers thereof and assign the Collection Agents thus relieved to municipalities where their services are urgently required. As Revenue Collection Officers, the Municipal Treasurers and/or the Municipal District Treasurers of the municipalities and municipal districts hereunder enumerated shall be under the supervision and control of the Commissioner of Internal. Revenue or his duly authorized representatives. In the collection of internal revenue taxes, fees and charges, and the manner of speedy remittances of collections, rendition of reports, control and related purposes, the rules area regulations provided in Department of Finance Order !7o. 31-63, dated February 6, 1963, as
