Additional authority to sign official papers and or communications by the Chiefs of Services

In the interest of the service and in order to facilitate the disposition of official correspondence bearing on the matters affecting the Department, it is hereby directed that, in addition to the authority previously granted under existing Department Orders, the Finance Service Chiefs shall sign "By authority of the Secretary" the following official. papers ,ertinont to their respective Services: 1.

Replies to queries and other correspondences reiterating department orders, circulars, opinions or rulin,;s already issued by the Secretary;

2.

Actions on the settlement of outstanding accounts of local governments with the Governme,,t Service Insurance System;

3.

Call ups on previous requests for submission of repr,rts, s,upportl.ng p, porn s,nd other comnunications;

4.

Actions on requests for copies of decrees, circulnrs, orders, rupee; and regulations involvi..g the Department;

5.

Transmittal letters or indorsemonts to bureaus. offices or agencies concn.rned of papers returned riaithout action for corn;1.innce with requirements, established guidelines, standards, priorities, systems, methods or procedures as well. as subrIssign of additional data, inforriztion, justifications or supporting papers and_schenulea.

In the :Pa once of the Finance Service Chief concerned, action.on the above-mentioned papers and co^inunic ti.ons shall automatically reve.t to the official performing said functions prior to the issuince of this order.

All existing, Deportment ord.:rs, Circ_ulars,.directives rnd/ or memoranda contrary ,to or inconsistent herewith are herohy revoked, amended orungdifibd accordingly. This Order shall, take effect inmera.in
