Prescribing the period for fact-finding/ preliminary/formal investigation on administrative complaints against local treasury and assessment officials and personnel.

All Regional Directors, Bureau of Local Government Finance, Provincial, City and Municipal Treasurers and Assessors; and Others Concerned.
Pursuant to Section 16, Article III of the 1987 Constitution, the State has guaranteed that all persons shall have the right to a speedy disposition of their cases before all judicial, quasi-judicial, or administrative bodies. In view of said Constitutional guarantee, the following rules and regulations governing the disposition/resolution of administrative complaints against local treasury and assessment officials and personnel are hereby promulgated for the guidance and compliance of all concerned: 1. Fact-finding/preliminary/formal investigation on administrative complaints against local treasury and assessment officials and personnel shall be conducted and accordingly terminated within the period of five (5) months from the time of receipt of the complaint. 2. The five (5) month period is inclusive of the time the investigation report/docket is in transit for submission to BLGF Central Office for final disposition. 3. The BLGF Central Office shall render a decision/ resolution on the same within thirty (30) days from receipt of the report/docketStrict compliance with the above guidelines is hereby enjoined.
