February 21, 2018 Greetings! The Boston Public Schools Science Department and Northeastern University’s Center for STEM Education invite you to be our guest at the 72nd Annual Boston Public Schools Citywide/MA Region VI Science Fair. Each year the Science Fair provides an opportunity for students to “do” science and solve engineering problems. As the students prepare for this exhibition, they not only learn important science and engineering concepts, but they also learn how scientists and engineers investigate the world. Thousands of students across the city participate in their school level fairs and the “best of the best” are invited to display their exhibits and compete at the BPS Citywide/MA Region VI Science Fair. We had over three hundred outstanding exhibits displayed at last year’s Science Fair, representing students from many of our schools. We hope that you can join us! The BPS students appreciate the support your presence provides and we hope that you will enjoy meeting some of the City’s finest students. We would be honored if you joined us for any part of the event. The Boston Citywide Science Fair takes place on different days in two locations. ● As we have in the past, the Judging Event and the STEM Expo will be held at Northeastern University (Cabot Physical Education Building) on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018. Judging of projects takes place in the morning; the student projects and other exhibits will be on display for public viewing between 1:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. As a special guest at the Northeastern University portion of the event, a parking voucher will be provided as you leave the Science Fair for use in the Renaissance Garage. Please contact me to let me know if you will be in attendance and if you will need a parking voucher. (

Light refreshments will be provided from 5:30 p.m. until the start of the program. Please let us know if you will be joining us for any portion of the day, so that we can be sure to welcome you to the event! R.S.V.P to Pam Pelletier, 617-293-9473 or email
