• Housing - Directions from Fiumicino Airport to Residence Trastevere Train /Tram Combination

From Fiumicino airport, look for and follow the signs with that say “F.S.” or “Treni” with a picture of train next to it. Trains leave every half hour from the airport to Trastevere train station. Before you board the train, you will need to buy and validate your ticket. Tickets cost approximately €8 and can be purchased at the Tabacchi (Tobacco shop/newsstand) or at the Biglietteria (ticket office) located just before the train tracks. You must validate your ticket at the yellow box also located just before the train tracks. Make sure you board the train that goes to Trastevere and get off at Trastevere train stop. Once you arrive to Trastevere, follow the signs that say “Uscita”. You’ll need to take Tram #8.( Direction ARGENTINA). Before boarding the Tram make sure you buy a one-way ticket. Tickets cost €1 and can be purchased from machines at the train station or from a Tabacchi (Tobacco shop). You have to validate the ticket at the yellow box inside the tram. You will ride the tram for 2 stops and you have to get off at the stop Ippolito Nievo. Once you get to the stop “Ippolito Nievo” cross the street and follow the dashed line to the Residence Trastevere.
