Blantyre Food Festival Family, food & fun... The Blantyre Food Festival, the first of its kind in Blantyre, is predicted to be a leading event that brings together the best in food and beverages from Blantyre and surrounds - all in one place. This food festival is ‘a kind of a knowledge expo’ where people will get to taste and experience foods from various eating houses in and around Blantyre. Naturally, there will be a few 'watering holes' to quench one's thirst! Blantyre Food Festival is designed particularly with the family in mind. People who attend this event will be literally ‘tired’ and ‘fed’ out after the festival. It promises to be a day filled with lots of food, drink and fun activities for the whole family. One can expect at least 4 to 8 different eating houses, restaurants and coffee houses to entertain one’s appetite. Various foods will be on sale, as well as desserts, coffees and cakes, beer and tea gardens, cheese and honey stalls, country stall to name a few. Activities for the kids, such as , face painting, colouring in, jumping castle/s, fabric painting – if you have a fun activity that you would like to bring for the kids, please contact us. We don’t want the adults to be left out of things, so we have live music, putt putt and a photo booth to entertain you ‘big’ kids. Alongside the food and fun side of things, homemade art and craft stalls, sweet stalls, popcorn and candy floss stalls will be displaying and selling their wares – there will even be a toys stall for the kids.
