Step 1: Start with a piece of card stock, 12" x 8". On the 8" side, mark 5.5" on one end and 2.5" on the other then cut the paper along the diagonal. This will give you the two sides of your card. (Note: if you are using card stock with a texture, you might want to cut each piece individually so your texture is on the correct side of the card base) Step 2: Score each piece at 4" and 8". Step 3: Measure up 2.75" on the tall end and make a mark; measure up 1.25" on the short end and make a mark. Draw a pencil line between these two points. Step 4: On one piece of card stock, cut down to the pencil line at 2" and 10" and cut up at 6". Step 5: On the other piece of card stock, cut up to the pencil line at 2" and 10" and cut down at 6". Erase the pencil line. Step 7: Stack the sides and then slot the two pieces together by sliding the cut lines over one another. Step 8: Pull the scored sections out and then flatten the back and the front sections to create the card base. Decorate as desired.
