Community School of Music and Arts Presents: Irene Sharp, Cello MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – The Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) in Mountain View welcomes Irene Sharp, Cellist on Thursday, June 18 at 7:30pm. The performance will be held at CSMA’s Tateuchi Hall, located at 230 San Antonio Circle in Mountain View. This event is free and open to the public. Internationally-acclaimed cellist Irene Sharp will perform music from composers Bach, Brahms and more. Irene Sharp is a master cello teacher, who has inspired countless students and delighted concert-goers with her artistry on the cello. She will be accompanied by Lori Lack on piano. Irene Sharp is known worldwide for her teaching. She has given master classes for American String Teachers Association (ASTA), European String Teachers Association, Australian String Teachers Association, and the Suzuki Association of America. She is based in Northern California, but has worked with students in New York, London, Salzburg, Hamburg, Sydney, Tokyo, and Taipei. She has also served on the faculty of the Meadowmount School for Strings, the Bowdoin (Maine) Summer Music Festival, and Indiana University's String Academy. She is also Artistic Director of California Summer Music, a festival for young string players, pianists, and composers. “We are so proud to host this concert from master cellist Irene Sharp,” said Vickie Scott Grove, Executive Director of CSMA. “We are also thrilled to give local cello students the opportunity to work with this celebrated instructor during our annual Summer Cello Workshop. We hope you’ll join us for this delightful evening of music!” This event is part of CSMA’s 2014-2015 Community Concert Series. In keeping with CSMA’s mission to provide Arts for All, Community Concerts are free and open to the public.
