Get Started The forms page (https://forms.google.com) allows you to open form templates to create a new form, start with a blank or open a form you already have access to.

Question types, headers and page breaks Question Type
Detail Respondents provide short answers (name, address, etc.) Respondents provide longer answers (short answer, short essay) Respondents select one option from among several. Can add an option for “other” and text box for entry. Respondents select as many options as they’d like (“check all that apply”). Can add an option for “other” and text box for entry. Respondents select one option from a dropdown menu. Respondents rank something along a scale of numbers (e.g., from 1 to 5). Scale points can be labelled. Respondents select a point from a two-dimensional grid. Can require one response per row. Rows and columns can be labelled. Respondents use a calendar picker to enter a date. Respondents select a time (either a time of day or a duration of time).
You can use the Required setting on each question to require that it is answered before the form can be submitted. Some questions can be required, others can be optional.

Form structure
Your forms can have multiple sections and can be branching depending on the responses to particular questions.
Adding a Section Clicking will create a new section. For each section, you can add both a section title and a section description into the section header.
You can use questions to select the next section to go to in your form. You need to use the question menu icon to tick the Go to section based on answer option.
This then makes the options available in the questions e.g.

Settings for your form You can set settings for your form from the settings cog.
Who can respond?
You can set the form so it can only be completed only be users with an ab-ed.org account or you can make the form so it can be completed by anyone with the link to it.

You can collect a respondents ab-ed.org address and limited each respondent to just one response. You can show a link so respondents can complete the form again once it is submitted, you can allow respondents to edit their responses and allow them to see a summary of all responses.
Collaborating with your form You can add others to collaborate with you on creating your form by clicking the menu icon top right of the screen.

Sharing your form to be completed
Your form can be sent as an email, shared as a link or embed in website using an embed code. You can also publish it to Google+, Facebook and/or Twitter. Click the Send button to view the options for sharing the form for completion.
To add a Form to Google Classroom select the link option, copy the Link and paste it into your Google Classroom. Remember to shorten the URL to make it easier to manage.

View responses
You can view responses by selecting the Responses option at the top of the form.
Responses will be automatically collated and presented in graphics/charts where appropriate. You can choose where to collect your responses if you wish by clicking on the s heets icon.
You can store the data in a spreadsheet for further analysis.
