Become familiar with your student’s schedule. Log in periodically to check your student’s attendance/tardy records, in addition to grades (if you do not opt for automatic updates.) → If you do not have a Powerschool account, contact your child’s school counselor. → Access the Quicklinks drop down menu from the district website home page and select “Parent Portal” to access step by step information on how to set up your account. → PowerSchool can also be accessed from your smart device. Search for “Pearson PowerSchool for Parents.” Our district code is ZNWR. Record your student’s login identifications and information for reference at home. Please note that the log in information for the school computers and Naviance are the same, and the log in information for Chromebooks and Google accounts are the same. Access information about Lunch Menus and Meal Pay from the Quicklinks drop down menu on the district website home page. Register to view and manage/make payments to your child’s meal account at MyPaymentsPlus, https://www.mypaymentsplus.com/ (This program is available, but not required, for students that buy school lunch.) Review the demographic and emergency contact information that is on file with the school by using the PowerSchool Parent Portal. This information can be accessed each fall by clicking on the “demographic change” icon. (Current working phone number and emergency contacts are critical!) Read the Principal’s weekly email blasts (Email address on file can be reviewed and edited in the PowerSchool Parent Portal) and teacher communications Find out about school athletic events and sports schedules on Lyman Hall’s home page of the website in the lower right hand corner. You can access athletic forms from the Lyman Hall athletic page which can be accessed by selecting the “Athletics” link from the right hand column (under Content) on the Lyman Hall home page. o Information meetings are held for each sport 2-4 weeks prior to tryouts. Meeting dates/times are tweeted and read on the morning announcements at school. Volunteerism Goal: Be an active partner in education by volunteering

Attend the Lyman Hall Parent Teacher Advisory Council (PTAC) meetings to collaborate with Principal regarding operational matters. These meetings are an opportunity to hear from administrators and teachers about what’s going on at school as well as presentations on a variety of topics including the school counseling or sports and clubs. Meetings are usually scheduled for the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m., and are held at the Library Media Center. ALL parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Serve on a building-wide committee (School Climate, Parent Ambassadors) Join the Music Parents Association if your student is involved with band, marching band, orchestra, chorus, color guard, and/or school drama/musical productions Join a parent run Sports Booster Club if your child participates in a sport. (Contact your child’s coach for more information)
