Parent​ ​Teacher​ ​Conferences Teachers​ ​are​ ​preparing​ ​schedules​ ​for​ ​parent​ ​conferences.​ ​ ​It​ ​has​ ​been​ ​our​ ​experience​ ​that​ ​these​ ​conferences bring​ ​about​ ​improved​ ​understanding​ ​of​ ​the​ ​child’s​ ​progress​ ​at​ ​school​ ​and​ ​at​ ​home.​ ​ ​Listed​ ​below​ ​are​ ​the Howard​ ​School​ ​teacher​ ​conference​ ​times.​ ​ ​However,​ ​earlier​ ​times​ ​may​ ​be​ ​adjusted​ ​to​ ​meet​ ​the​ ​needs​ ​of​ ​the parents/teachers. Report​ ​Cards The​ ​sixth​ ​grade​ ​will​ ​receive​ ​their​ ​report​ ​cards​ ​on​ ​Monday,​ ​November​ ​13,​ ​to​ ​make​ ​it​ ​easier​ ​for​ ​parents​ ​to decide​ ​what​ ​teachers​ ​they​ ​need​ ​to​ ​see​ ​for​ ​Parent​ ​Teacher​ ​Conferences.​ ​ ​The​ ​4th​ ​&​ ​5th​ ​grades​ ​will​ ​receive their​ ​report​ ​cards​ ​on​ ​Friday,​ ​November​ ​17. Veteran’s​ ​Day In​ ​honor​ ​of​ ​Veteran’s​ ​Day​ ​there​ ​is​ ​no​ ​school​ ​on​ ​Friday,​ ​November​ ​10,​ ​2017. November​ ​Early​ ​Release​ ​Days​ ​and​ ​Holiday​ ​Schedule To​ ​allow​ ​time​ ​for​ ​parent​ ​conferences,​ ​all​ ​students​ ​will​ ​be​ ​dismissed​ ​at​ ​11:30​ ​on:​ ​Friday,​ ​November​ ​17; Monday,​ ​November​ ​20;​ ​and​ ​Tuesday,​ ​November​ ​21. Wednesday,​ ​November​ ​22,​ ​will​ ​be​ ​an​ ​early​ ​release​ ​day​ ​to​ ​begin​ ​our​ ​Thanksgiving​ ​Holiday.​ ​Dismissal​ ​will be​ ​at​ ​11:30​ ​on​ ​that​ ​day.​ ​School​ ​will​ ​be​ ​closed​ ​on​ ​Thanksgiving​ ​Day,​ ​and​ ​on​ ​Friday,​ ​November​ ​24.​ ​School will​ ​reopen​ ​on​ ​Monday,​ ​November​ ​27. Lifetouch​ ​Picture​ ​Retakes Lifetouch​ ​is​ ​scheduled​ ​to​ ​be​ ​at​ ​the​ ​Howard​ ​School​ ​on​ ​Wednesday,​ ​ ​November​ ​15​ ​for​ ​picture​ ​retakes​ ​and students​ ​who​ ​were​ ​absent​ ​for​ ​the​ ​first​ ​round.​ ​ ​If​ ​your​ ​child​ ​is​ ​doing​ ​a​ ​picture​ ​retake,​ ​please​ ​send​ ​in​ ​the original​ ​pictures​ ​you​ ​received​ ​from​ ​Lifetouch​ ​for​ ​your​ ​child​ ​to​ ​give​ ​to​ ​the​ ​photographer.​ ​ ​If​ ​you​ ​like​ ​the original​ ​picture​ ​better​ ​you​ ​will​ ​still​ ​be​ ​able​ ​to​ ​order​ ​them.

School​ ​Committee​ ​Meeting Our​ ​next​ ​School​ ​Committee​ ​meeting​ ​will​ ​be​ ​on​ ​Monday,​ ​November​ ​13,​ ​at​ ​6:30​ ​p.m.​ ​in​ ​the​ ​High​ ​School Learning​ ​Commons​ ​area. Socktober We​ ​are​ ​thrilled​ ​to​ ​announce​ ​the​ ​Howard​ ​School​ ​has​ ​collected​ ​532​ ​pairs​ ​of​ ​socks​ ​to​ ​deliver​ ​to​ ​the​ ​homeless during​ ​the​ ​month​ ​of​ ​“Socktober”.​ ​Kids​ ​can,​ ​and​ ​do​ ​make​ ​a​ ​difference! Daylight​ ​Savings​ ​Time Remember​ ​to​ ​“fall​ ​back”​ ​this​ ​Saturday​ ​night​ ​for​ ​Daylight​ ​Savings​ ​Time.​ ​It​ ​will​ ​be​ ​brighter​ ​in​ ​the​ ​morning, but​ ​darker​ ​in​ ​the​ ​afternoons​ ​as​ ​our​ ​seasons​ ​get​ ​ready​ ​to​ ​change.
