The Bulldog Wrestling Club (BWC) invites the youth of Riverside-Brookfield, Grades K-8, to learn the art of wrestling. The season begins Thursday, 11/10/16, 6:00pm! Why Wrestling? The goal of the BWC is to teach children the fundamentals of wrestling in a fun and challenging environment. BWC not only teaches wrestling fundamentals, but also focuses on strength and conditioning, discipline, character building, and teamwork. The balance, strength, agility and conditioning of wrestling will help kids excel at every other sport they want to play. Each practice will have elements of drills, calisthenics, live wrestling, and games. We want to build the love of the sport through this experience.
Here’s what parents have said about our program:
You are the best Tom!!!! Connor loves going to wrestling. I love how all of the kids go sprinting toward the wrestling room when I drop him off :) You are doing an amazing job at wearing Connor out :) I truly feel like he is behaving a little better, too. So Thanks!!!!
Thanks for checking on him. He did have a big bump, but took it well. No tears at all, just told me that he might have a headache. When I suggested that maybe wrestling was too rough, Jack told me "I'm not quitting and if you won't make me, I will walk in short sleeves all the way even if it is freezing cold." He really likes wrestling and looks forward to the days he has it!
Thank you Tom - I thought yesterday was a great experience for James. Thanks for all you are doing with this program.
Prescott has had a season-ending injury . The doctors expect him to recover, but it will take a while. Prescott is particularly disappointed because he enjoyed wrestling so much. He'll be back next year.
Yes he did tell me he was made captain. He was so happy about that. Thank you for giving him that honor. I know it made him feel good. My husband and I both feel that being a part of wrestling this season has really been a great experience for Luke. Thank you so much for all the work you put into coaching the boys this season.
Thank you for the amazing job you are doing! Zack isn't naturally athletic and is more of a math kid than sports- but your encouragement and your desire for them to really understand the game and the strategy has really been wonderful for him and he is really enjoying it! Thanks again!
