Day to Day Care:
On a day to day basis make sure your hornworm seems content in his or her habitat. Only give your hornworm pet one slice of tomato a day if you do more they could actually drown in their own tomato L Also do not put any other plants in their habitat or any other water or watery items in your tank as this might hurt your hornworm. If you see pellet like poop that looks like this below:

then please make sure to scoop it up with the little paper cup your Ribbit Tutoring staff gave you today. Their poop is clean because they only eat tomato but just to be safe pick it up with your cup. After that you are good for the day and just make sure to do that each day. Feel free to pick up your little hornworm or your big hornworm depending on how far along you are in the life cycle. Don’t pick up too much because it will bother the worm. But they like the attention so once a day is fine.

Let’s Name your Worm:

Do You Have a Pupa YET?

Some of your Hornworms probably are Pupas now or whatever the thing above me is right now, lol. If so, then just leave him or her there on the ground. They don’t need to eat anything and they also shouldn’t be moved or touched when they are in pupa form. They might be in pupa form for 180 days it seems like a long time but that’s how it is sometimes. It shouldn’t take that long. But if it does its fine. Usually it takes a week though.

Lastly By now you should have an adult Moth. Your son or daughter has grown into a beautiful adult. And when they are adults it’s time for them to leave the nest. Take your moth to a park or open area with trees and natural areas and let him or her fly away and be FREE. It is sad but that’s what will happen when you have a human child they all have to leave at times. So say good bye and maybe they will come back.
