How to Use the Reproducible Help your students identify solid figures with this “seal-sational” booklet activity! Give each student a copy of the reproducibles and a 6” x 14” sheet of colored construction paper. Read the booklet pages with students. Direct each student to cut out the cover, solid figure patterns, sea lion pattern, and booklet pages along the bold lines. Then instruct the student to color the cover, solid figure patterns, and sea lion pattern. Next, have him glue each solid figure pattern on its corresponding booklet page. Direct the student to read the question at the bottom of each page and then color the correct answer. Tell the student to stack his pages in numerical order, place the cover on top, and staple the booklet to the top of the construction paper as shown. Then have him glue Sally to the construction paper as shown. Encourage students to practice reading their booklets with buddies before taking them home to read to their families. Watch your youngsters successfully juggle solid figures!

• Use crayons to draw a scene around Sally. For example, draw the sea lion pool and demonstration area at a zoo. To extend this booklet, give students discarded magazines and circulars and direct them to search for and cut out pictures of solid figures that correspond with the booklet. Then have each student glue the pictures to the back of his construction paper and label them.
