Lifeguard​ ​Training:​​ ​is​ ​an​ ​American​ ​Red​ ​Cross​ ​(ARC)​ ​Lifeguard​ ​Training​ ​course​ ​that​ ​teaches​ ​lifeguard​ ​candidates​ ​the​ ​skills​ ​and​ ​knowledge​ ​need​ ​to​ ​prevent and​ ​respond​ ​to​ ​aquatic​ ​emergencies.​ ​To​ ​be​ ​eligible​ ​for​ ​this​ ​class​ ​students​ ​must​ ​complete​ ​PE9,​ ​must​ ​be​ ​15​ ​years​ ​of​ ​age​ ​and​ ​must​ ​pass​ ​the​ ​required​ ​pre-course swim​ ​test.
