  Introduction   

Dual  LED  plug  has  two  3mm  LEDs  with  a  current  limiting  resistors  which  can  be  used  as  an  indicator  in various projects. This PCB design enables you to bend the  LEDs  to  any  position  as  per  the  user’s  need  and  also  this  plug  can  be  mounted  anywhere​ ​using​ ​screws.​ ​This​ ​plug​ ​is​ ​available​ ​in​ ​different​ ​colors.

  Details   

Dual  LED  plug  is  a  digital  output  device.  It  has  an  interfacing  port  with  four  pins  named  as  G,  V,  D1  and  D2.  Here  G  represents  Ground  ,  V  represents  VCC,  D1  represents  data  pin  1  through  red  LED  is  controlled and D2 represents Data pin 2  through​ ​green​ ​LED​ ​is​ ​controlled.

  How​ ​to​ ​interface?   

If  4-4A  wire is to be used then any end of the cable can be connected to the Dual  LED  plug. Always ensure that black wire of the cable is connected to the G pin on  both​ ​ends.     In  the  below  given  pictures  one  can  see  4-4A  cable  is  used to connect Dual LED  plug  to  the  Pluguino  Board.  The  data  pins  D1  and  D2  of  the  Dual  LED  plug  are  connected  to  the  11th  and  12th  GPIO  pins  on  the  controller  board.  By  controlling  the  voltage  at  the  11th  and  12th  pins  of the controller one can control the state of  the​ ​LEDs.

In  this  example,  initially  we  are  going  to  blink  an  red  LED  with  the  delay  of  one  second  and  then  green  LED  blinks  with  1  seconds  delay  and  after  that  both  the  LEDs​ ​blink​ ​simultaneously​ ​with​ ​the​ ​delay​ ​of​ ​one​ ​second.
