ENTER YOUR FUTURE! UTURE! WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT? Enter Your Future is a project organized by Junior Achievement together with AIESEC in Poland in order to give young students inspiration to be entrepreneurial, motivate them to do more, give them impulse to think, get to know their strengths and how to build on them and generate ideas. All of that will be happening during workshops in high schools in totally diversified multinational environment. environment opportunities which are given them by AIESEC once they join the Moreover,, we want to show them opportunities university so that they can already plan their development. development One hundred twenty (120) international students from more than 15 countries will come to Poland to 15 LCs in February ruary 2009 in order to run workshops about entrepreneurship in polish high schools. During 10 weeks of their stay they will conduct workshops in groups of 3 in 400 schools. That gives us 28000 0 young pupils inspired and motivated while understanding the need of being entrepreneurial and culturally sensitive. The whole project will start with huge Global Village ( cultures fairs) in the centre of Warsaw, giving polish people opportunity ity to interact interact with different countries and cultures as well as try their traditional meals or see performances. Then the whole group of interns is going to have one week long preparation conference on how to be a trainer, how to manage group of people, polish reality, reali entrepreneurship and leadership skills. All sessions will be run by external partners which makes the whole preparation high quality. From the beginning of March till 14th of May interns will run workshops in high schools, spending one week in each and living with pupils and their families. families. From Monday till Wednesday there will be one day long workshops conducted on basic of entrepreneurship for 3 groups of 25 - 30 people. On Thursday and Friday the most outstanding and active pupils in the group of 25 2 will take part in advanced trainings of entrepreneurship and leadership skills. skills. During the whole project there will be competition for pupils for the most innovative idea for business. The whole project ends with another huge event - Closing Gala, Gala which will take place in Warsaw on 16th of May. During this event there will be a lot of multinational performances as well as Official Closing and Awards Gala of the Competition.

KEY LEARNING POINTS FOR AN INTERN: The intern will gain: • Facilitating skills • Training skills • Autopresentation skills • Interpersonal skills • Working in multicultural environment skills through conducting workshops in groups of three. • Insight on polish culture while being hosted by polish families • Knowledge about entrepreneurship in general and in Poland • Knowledge about generating ideas for business and transforming them into reality • Emotional Intelligence training

EXPECTATIONS TOWARDS AN INTERN: It is expected that after the project young pupils will be inspired and motivated to be entrepreneurial and be proactive. High schools are satisfied with high quality of the workshops. All stakeholders know what is AIESEC and have the positive image of the organization. That is why each intern is expected to: • Prepare honestly for the internship through: o Prepare themselves before coming through reading appropriate materials o Prepare themselves in terms of training and facilitating skills o Prepare presentation about their home countries regarding entrepreneurship development there o Prepare themselves for additional events like Global Village (information, traditional dances, food and beverages) •

Transmit project’s aims and key messages through: o Running workshops on the highest level o Attending extra meetings with pupils o Being a perfectly prepared and flexible trainer o Being the inspiration for young people



Be the AIESEC ambassador through: o Transmitting AIESEC values and opportunities while conducting workshops o Transmitting AIESEC values and building a positive brand while conducting workshops and during home stays at pupils’ places.

Attend preparation conference

Each intern is obliged to attend the preparation conference (24th February – 1st March) at which they will obtain knowledge on how to be a trainer, entrepreneurship and leadership skills.

Prepare workshops during preparation conference

During the preparation conference interns will be given workshop outlines prepared by external partners. They will be obliged to work on those outlines, upgrade them and learn how to run them properly.

Prepare before the internship – read all needed materials

Interns within one month before arrival will get list of materials to go through and read in order to prepare well for the internship. The materials will be selected by external content partners.

Run workshops in schools

Promote competition among pupils

Interns are obliged to run one week long workshops in high schools in Poland in groups of three. Workshops will be run in the scheme: Monday – Wednesday – interns run one day long basic workshops for 3 groups of 25 pupils (one day in one group). Thursday and Friday they run two day long advanced workshop for one group of 25 pupils (best people from 3 basic groups). Interns are obliged to be best trainers, actively prepare for sessions as well give their best while conducting workshops to do it in interactive way.

During the whole Project there will be competition announced for pupils. They will have the possibility to generate the best idea for the business and submit it for the competition. An external content partner is going to assess ideas and choose the best ones, which will be

awarded at the Closing Gala. The intern is obliged to promote the competition among pupils

Attend Global Village and Closing Gala

At the beginning of the project as the last day of the preparation conference (1st March) there will be organized Global Village in the centre of Warsaw. The event will be open for everyone and we expect a lot of people there. The intern is obliged to prepare themselves for the Global Village through bringing traditional clothes, food and beverages as well as presentation about the country.

At the very end of the project as the ending event there will be organized Closing Gala in the centre of Warsaw with the official closing of the project, presentations and evaluations as well as official thanking partners, interns and organizers. The intern is obliged to attend actively the Closing Gala (16th May) and prepare short presentation of the project of their local edition. SUMMING UP OF THE INTERNSHIP

Conduct evaluation of workshops in high schools

After each workshop in high schools pupils will be obliged to fill in evaluation form regarding the quality of workshops. The intern is obliged to gather all the evaluations and create a rapport after visiting each school.

Evaluate on Project and attend evaluation meeting

The day before Closing Gala (15th May) is free of workshops and is totally dedicated for After Action Review with the OC and interns. The intern is obliged to actively attend the meeting, frankly evaluate the project and give their inputs for improvement. What is more, the intern is obliged to create their own I’m and Enter Your Future Intern story together with their picture.
