Fashion Edit; Chanel Joan Elkayam- French Sophistication Working as a blogger and writer I have met and spoke to some amazing people that have created masterpieces in their work. Chanel Joan Elkayam is no different, she has designed some amazing pieces and I'm here to give you a first glimpse at one of her photoshoots also known as “French Sophistication”. If you haven’t heard of Chanel Elkayam here’s a brief, Chanel will be one of the youngest Fashion Designer to ever present at Paris Fashion Week. She is an 18 years old Fashion Designer and student at the famous Central St. Martins. The Chanel Joan Elkayam fashion label represents a bold, elegant and sophisticated clothing collection. Designed and made by Chanel Joan, her vision is that even the smallest detail is important to complete a perfect complimentary garment and this has led to the creation of a chic and refined collection. The French Sophistication Photoshoot really does bring to light the beauty of Chanel's work shown in the images below. As you can see the elegant Blazer/Jacket is of a cream tone this is perfectly lined with a black edge giving the piece a pop of sophistication. This look is perfect for all, ranging from those business women of the world, as well as those of us who need that elegance in our lives.

The knee high skirt is perfect for giving out the classy and elegant look, I believe Chanel has pulled out all the stops in making this overall look which works for those women who wish to stand and be bold! As seen in the image to the left this looks amazing with chunky heels, it emphasizes the bold black lining. This would also work wonderfully with black or cream court heels. As seen in both the images this suit can be paired with a white blouse which can be seen in the image above modeled by Chanel Joan herself, or a black blouse seen modeled by Annie Bond. The texture of both the jacket and skirt create body to the outfit. The flow between both of the pieces works wonderfully and is structured so perfectly as a two-piece outfit. This outfit works great with a classy up-do hairstyle as well as natural makeup, for me there is no need for added accessories this piece says it all as it is mature, sophisticated and classy.
The next set of shoots are ultimately two of my favorite pieces, both these looks are to die for! These pieces show originality and class. They are figure complimenting outfits that will put any girl centre stage. The bold patterns create an individualised, unique look. As for the 2016 and double contrasting patterns coupled with the double complimenting patterns Chanel Joan has really hit the nail on the head with these pieces!
The double contrasting fabrics works perfectly and really brings out the next level of fashion. This piece looks amazing paired with stilettos and can be worn to a business meeting with more court heels or again paired with stilettos on an evening out! These both have so much versatility the looks are endless!
To the right is Chanel Joan herself, this piece looks great layered and really gives of a sense of style, the lace pattern on the shoulders provides texture making the look complete! The flow of the waistcoat with the white dress builds on the layering style and brings out the bold pattern of the waistcoat. As for the left this is model; Annie Bond who really pulls of this outfit, which is ultimately so body complimenting it is unreal! The sleek fabric and waterfall looking point at the bottom of the dress gives it edge.

Moving on to the next two piece, each hitting subtle but classy to the tee. Talk about “French Sophistication, these outfits are simply that in a nut shell. The first outfit gives off the Parisian look, the long skirt in the navy blue with the matching white blouse/shirt. This matched with the large pan type collar lined with the navy blue perfectly coordinates the two pieces. The silky skirt creates the perfect flow matched with the pleated that are evident but not too bold. I think this is a much more subtle look within the whole photoshoot, which offers another alternative to the bolder looks.
The next look again is French Sophistication in a nut shell, using the similar shades of navy blue this again gives the perfect Parisian look. I really love this outfit; as it is very elegant and works brilliant as an everyday look. I love how the pleated skirt matches perfectly with the knitted jumper.
This piece follows suit with the first piece with the bold black line, this breaks the outfit up. In a sense it makes the illusion of a front button/zip up dress. This piece fits the collection in being classy and sophisticated, it works perfectly as a work outfit. It gives the image of an office worker or secretary, this again is a look that is perfect for all, ranging from those business women of the world as well as those of us who need that elegance in their life.
Chanel Joan really makes this look classy and elegant, not only does she create beauty in her work she is super photogenic and really knows how to make each of her master pieces look amazing. Working down to our final two pieces, there really is not much more Chanel Joan can pull out of the bag or at least that’s what we think! Her work has ultimately built an amazing collection and she just keeps on giving! It must be noted that “French Sophistication” is just a smaller section of her much larger collection, this being her first collection. From day to evening her collection covers it all, classy and subtle all in one! Chanel has really pulled out all the stops and built a collection that matches its title. ‘French Sophistication’ summaries this Photoshoot and brings the collection together, it says it all in two words. The next piece adds in a different colour to the collection, the pale green for me hits at the nature and natural land found amongst France.

This ensemble would piece together great with black court heels, a black prism heel or a suede pair of black strappy heels. This number also works the up-do hairstyle, this piece would look great with a Smokey eye matched with a subtle blend of moss green on the outer edge of the eye.
The final piece is another favorite of mine it is the perfect day and evening wear. This black and white panel dress is perfect it follows suit of the monochrome look, this piece creates the illusion of a two piece. The white triangular panels highlight and compliment the figure, they create the illusion of curves for those who don’t have them and highlight them for those who already have them. This piece also follows the others in the collection with the bold black lines, however this time this enhancing the chest area and highlighting the natural assets of a woman. This piece would piece together great with black court heel also, great with a chunky bracelet or watch. This dress is super sleek and elegant. It portrays a very feminine look and highlights all assets. The bold black sleeves match the others in this collection and really build on portraying broader shoulders giving a sense of power as well as creating imagery of an independent woman. Overall, Chanel Joan has really created a wonderful shoot, exhibiting master pieces which rightfully belong in the fashion world. Each to their own I believe Chanel is one of the biggest upcoming Fashion Designers, as stated previously she is soon to set foot in the Paris fashion week, displaying her latest collection!
