Origami and God "He hath made every thing beautiful in his time" (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Origami, the art of paper folding, is a wonder to behold. Those engaged in the activity need to know exactly where to fold the paper. The pattern required is memorized, but it still exists. To teach the subject, one might produce templates, or nets, showing exactly where the folds, and, in some cases, the tears and cuts, need to be made. In later years, I watched a warehouse robot fold packaging in exactly the right way, time after time, to wrap some particularly fragile products. A BBC article expresses justifiable awe at the way that nature folds things. The article reports that scientists are copying such natural designs, to produce better robotic algorithms, for packaging purposes. We know that the programming to facilitate such folding is in the DNA of the organism. As we often mention in these broadcasts, the information in DNA can only have come from an intelligent source. But that is what we expect, because we know that God created everything, just as He said in Genesis.

Proof That The Earth is Flat It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: -- Isaiah 40:22 Seeking to prove that a conspiracy of astronauts fabricated the shape of the Earth, a California man intends to launch himself 1,800 feet high on Saturday in a steam-powered rocket he built from scrap metal. Assuming the 500-mph, mile-long flight through the Mojave Desert doesn’t kill him, Mike Hughes told the Associated Press, his journey into the atmosflat will mark phase one of his ambitious flat-Earth space program. Hughes’s ultimate goal is a subsequent launch that puts him miles above the Earth, where the 61-year-old limousine driver hopes to photograph proof of the disc we all live on.

“It’ll shut the door on this ball earth,” Hughes said in a fundraising interview with a flat-Earth group for Saturday’s flight. Theories discussed during the interview included NASA being controlled by round-Earth Freemasons and Elon Musk making fake rockets from blimps. Hughes promised the flat-Earth community that he would expose the conspiracy with his steam-powered rocket, which will launch from a heavily modified mobile home — though he acknowledged that he still had much to learn about rocket science. “This whole tech thing,” he said in the June interview. “I’m really behind the eight ball.” That said, Hughes isn’t a totally unproven engineer. He set a Guinness World Record in 2002 for a limousine jump, according to Ars Technica, and has been building rockets for years, albeit with mixed results. “Okay, Waldo. 3 . . . 2 . . . 1!” someone yells in a test fire video from 2012.
There’s a brief hiss of boiling water, then . . . nothing. So Hughes walks up to the engine and pokes it with a stick, at which point a thick cloud of steam belches out toward the camera. He built his first manned rocket in 2014, the Associated Press reported, and managed to fly a quarter-mile over Winkelman, Ariz. As seen on YouTube, the flight ended with Hughes being dragged, moaning from the remains of the rocket. The injuries he suffered put him in a walker for two weeks, he said. And the 2014 flight was only a quarter of the distance of Saturday’s mile-long attempt. And it was based on round-Earth technology. After struggling for months to raise funds for his follow-up flight over the Mojave, Hughes converted to flat-earthism. Flat-Earth Science-Deniers Should Look at This Simulated Real Life Picture. It was originally scheduled for early 2016 in a Kickstarter campaign — “From Garage to Outer Space!” — that mentioned nothing about Illuminati astronauts, and was themed after a NASCAR event.
“We want to do this and basically thumb our noses at all these billionaires trying to do this,” Hughes said, standing in his Apple Valley, Calif., living room, which he had plastered with drawings of his rockets.
Youth Pastor Finds Abandoned Baby on Roadside A church youth group leader made an incredible discovery while he was escorting his students back from a church outing last Saturday. According to ChristianToday.com, youth group leader Rodger Prater, who works at Abba’s House of Worship Center in Ada, Oklahoma was driving back with his students from an outing to an amusement park. His wife Nancy was also with him. As they drove down the road, Prater noticed something sitting on the roadside. As their vehicle got closer, Prater realized that what he was seeing was a baby in a car seat. Prater stopped the vehicle and he and his wife got out. “He was just a little fella,” Prater recalls. “Thank God we got there in time.” The Praters rescued the baby and took him to a hospital where doctors proclaimed him to be in good health. In addition to the child himself, the Praters found the baby’s birth certificate, social security card, and $5,500 in cash in the car seat with him.
“They have not put a man in space yet,” Hughes said. “There are 20 different space agencies here in America, and I’m the last person that’s put a man in a rocket and launched it.”
The baby is now in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and no arrests have been made in the incident, although the child’s mother was able to be located based on information contained in the identification documents.
He compared himself to Evel Knievel, as he promised to launch himself from a California racetrack — the first step on his steam-powered leap toward space.
Prater is confident that God was looking out for the child and allowed him to be found and brought to safety.
The Kickstarter raised $310 of its $150,000 goal.
“All I know is that God intervened,” he said. “One day when the baby is old enough to understand, he can call me and I will tell him that it was no fluke that we found him. We found him for a reason. I will tell him that God has a plan for his life.”
“John Glenn and Neil Armstrong are Freemasons,” Hughes said. “Once you understand that, you understand the roots of the deception.” On a popular flat-earth radio interview, the host talked of “Elon Musk’s fake reality,” and Hughes talked of “anti-Christ, Illuminati stuff.” After half an hour of this, the host told his 300-some listeners to back Hughes’s exploration of space.

While there is no one hypothesis for what the flat Earth is supposed to look like, many believers envision a flat disc ringed by sea ice, which naturally holds the oceans in. Hindus, with their great scientific insights, are assured that the earth is carried on the backs of four elephants (picture, above). And that the elephants stand on the back of a huge turtle. Not many world religions can claim that depth of devotion to pure science! Silly Christian fundamentalists are still stuck with the idea of a round earth. What’s beyond the sea ice, if anything, remains to be discovered. Perhaps we will finally discover the home of fairies, unicorns and the original My Pretty Pony! Logic says that they must have gone somewhere, right? I mean, we all know they’re real. Right?
