ABOUT THE INSTITUE The college sponsored by Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education was established in 1977 as the 1st private self financing engineering college in the combined state of Andhra Pradesh with an annual intake of 180 into 4 branches of engineering (Civil, ECE, EEE and ME) and continuously growing with a current intake of 1140 for UG & 198 for PG. The college was accredited in the year 1998 for the first time, and subsequently in 2005 and 2009 & 2014.The College is accredited by NAAC with A grade effective from 25-102013. The college obtained ISO 9001:2000 certifications initially in the year 2004 and has been renewing it. The University Grants commission conferred autonomous status on the college in the year 2006 and subsequently extended for a period of 6 years w.e.f. from 2012-13 to 2017-18. The courses run by the college are recognized by the Institution of Engineers (India). The college went for accreditation from the TCS in the year 2006 and reaccredited in the year 2011 with B grade.
About the department The department offers UG program in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with an intake of 120 and PG program in Power System Engineering with an intake of 18. The department has twenty seven qualified faculty supported by twelve technical and administrative staff. The department is recognized as research center by JNTUK. The department is well equipped with ten laboratories including HV lab. The Power Systems Lab has major equipment like AC Network Analyzer and Transmission line simulator. Both UG and PG Programs of our Departments are accredited by National Board of Accreditation for a period of 5 years and two years respectively with effect from 01-07-2015.
ELIGIBILITY AND NORMS: Faculty members from AICTE recognized Engineering Institutions/Industries are eligible to participate.

The FDP is intended to facilitate the participants to acquire knowledge and information on latest trends in High Voltage Engineering, standards/test procedures, various methods to diagnose the equipment and hotline maintenance etc., The participants will also be given necessary exposure to HV laboratory environment. After completion of the FDP, the Faculty is expected to expose the latest trends, research problems in HV. This program will help the participant faculty to train their students to fit into the modern technologies.
